DrCarlos Vazquez Hernandez

I am a Lecturer in International Business, specialising in behavioural science and decision-making. My work helps students, organisations, and policymakers understand how people make decisions under uncertainty, showing how technology, social environments, data and narratives shape behaviour and, ultimately, outcomes for business, society, and the environment.

I have a BBA at Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico); GradCert Educational Studies Higher Education University of Sydney; MIP University of Melbourne; PhD University of Sydney.

As a researcher and educator, I have domestic and international experience, and well-rounded business acumen. I enjoy breaking the rules every once in a while in order to discover new ways of understanding the world around us. I have a strong financial and business focus, and I am passionate about behavioural sciences, innovation studies, sustainability, and technology around the world.

Furthermore, I believe we should improve and change the way we conduct and think about social and environmental issues and businesses. In particular, we need to better understand the cognitive and behavioural foundations that underpin these macro-phenomena, if we are to move forward into a more profitable and sustainable situation for ourselves, the organisations we are a part of, and for society as a whole.

I am true believer in organizational change and team work. The more ideas we can bring together, the more opportunities we can foresee, and experiment with.
