SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARy

Professor Pulitano provides clinical, academic, and translational leadership across hepatobiliary surgery and transplantation at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney. He serves as Director of COARO (the RPA Translational Centre for Organ Assessment, Repair and Optimisation), leading the development and clinical implementation of technologies that improve organ assessment, preservation, and optimisation. He is also Director of the Liver Transplant Oncology Program, coordinating integrated surgical and oncological pathways for transplant candidates with liver malignancy, and Director of the Centre for Advanced Research in Liver, Pancreas and Biliary Surgery, advancing multidisciplinary collaboration and research capability across hepatopancreatobiliary surgery and transplantation. Through these roles, he contributes strategic direction, program development, and translational governance that bridge laboratory innovation with safe, high-impact clinical adoption.
