RESEARCH INTERESTs

My research interests focus on enabling Learning Health Systems and rural healthcare, in particular to reduce the burden of musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain and preventable chronic diseases over the life course.

This work includes:

  • Enabling meaningful consumer involvement in research priorities and decision making;
  • Co-producing pragmatic, embedded clinical trials and research to understand the effects of complex treatments and prevention strategies;
  • Implementation research to test the effects of research translation and implementation strategies on improving healthcare quality, safety and policy;
  • Understanding and supporting research capacity building, culture, infrastructure and quality improvement initiatives that enable Learning Health (eco)Systems;
  • Evidence to strengthen health system policy and action on health technology, integrated care, data use and governance, and workforce development.
