Professor Ben Marais is Director of the multidisciplinary Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute (Sydney ID). He is a paediatric infectious diseases specialist best know for his tuberculosis (TB) research. He is co-lead of the WHO Collaborating Centre in Tuberculosis at the University of Sydney and the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in Tuberculosis Control.
