Bart De Keyser’s research covers three interconnected areas:

• Organizational change and transformation

Bart has written extensively on organizational change and transformation, covering topics such as the dynamics and processes of change, and why organizations often fail to change.

• Strategy and strategy-making

Additionally, Bart has looked into aspects of strategy and strategy-making. This covers the cognitive-emotional processes of strategy-making - including the use of language in strategy - as well as the mechanisms of strategy consulting.

• Disruptive innovation

Finally, Bart has been engaged with disruptive innovation on an industry level. In this strand of research, Bart has focused on notions such as incumbent response and inertia, and processes of creative destruction.
