Research projects & supervision summary

I am deeply committed to the mentorship and training of students at all levels and actively engage in the supervision of Honours, Masters and PhD students. Under my guidance, students have won prizes for scientific presentations and have been awarded travel scholarships. I also am involved in the training of Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Assistants in the use of iPSCs and the generation of iPSC-derived spinal motor neuons.

Currently supervising: 1 PhD student (auxiliary), 1 Hons (auxillary)

Completed: 1 MPhil (auxiliary) 2 Hons – 1st class (lead), 2 Hons – all 1st class (auxillary)

Currently training: 1 PhD, 2 Postdocs

Trained: 1 Postdoc, 2 Reserach assitants, 2 PhD students (1 international), 2 Hons students

Current Projects:

(1) generating motor neuons from human fibroblasts by small molecules for the modelling of late-onset neurodegenrative disease
