DrAnn Carrigan

Dr Carrigan serves as an Academic Editor for Human Factors in Healthcare, PLOS Digital Health, and a peer-reviewer for journals such as BMJ Quality and Safety. She is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia, and will be on the 2026 Scientific Committee for the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia’s Annual Symposium.

Dr Carrigan is a recognised leader in her field and holds several committee roles (HFESA NSW committee, School of Nursing Research Committee), has been invited to join internal and external interview panels, and received invitations to visit international collaborators.

She enjoys mentoring EMCRs, junior researchers and students. This year she was a selected mentor for “Setting your Academic Career up for Success Early Career Academic Leadership Program”, FMH, University of Sydney, 2025.
