----------Current Research Projects----------
After initiating a successful conference entitled Wounds, Scars, and Healing: Civil Society and Postwar Pacific Basin Reconciliation, 29 September – 2 October 2015, which commemorated the 70th anniversary since the end of the Asia-Pacific War, Dr Claremont has now been engaged in three major publications: (1) Conference proceedings to be published as an edited book, (2) A bi-lingual book of photographs and accompanying texts from the photographic exhibition on the theme of grassroots reconciliation activities, and (3) her monograph on The Asia-Pacific War in Southeast Asia 1941-1945: Its Impact and Legacy.
Six panels of the photographic exhibition showing reconciliation between former enemies will be displayed in the Asian Collection Reading Room at the National Library of Australia in 1 – 30 June 2016.
