Following the completion of her PhD in immunisation of poultry against Salmonella typhimurium, Wendy further extended current understanding in avian immunity, especially the mucosal immune system. Wendy moved into an academic appointment at the Camden campus of the University of Sydney including the provision of instruction in poultry husbandry, immunology and animal health and disease. Wendy's recent research interests include improving mobility in fast growing meat chickens, exploring the influence of nutrition on muscle development and vaccination to control Salmonella in layer hens.
