RESEARCH INTERESTs

I am a senior Computational Biologist and Developmental Team Leadof a genomic lab within the state-of-the-art Charles Perkins Centre,USYD. My research is focused on interrogating "Big Data" genomics throughadvanced computational techniques to uncover the role of genetic andenvironmental factors in human adaptation to disease, mainly prostate cancer. Ihave recently discovered a new pattern connection between ancestral heritageand aggressive cancer and, as a pilot team, identified a different effect of anenvironmental surrounding on people with different ethnicities, opening up a newframework for cancer health disparities and control using personalised genomics.
