I am Vesna Miletic, Professor and Director of Restorative Dentistry and Academic Lead of the Sydney Dental School Simulation Centre at the University of Sydney. My career has been dedicated to advancing restorative dentistry through education, research, and innovation. After earning my PhD at the University of Edinburgh and completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Dundee, I have combined clinical expertise with a passion for teaching and curriculum development.

Over the years, I have led programs and initiatives that enhance student learning and clinical preparedness, including simulation-based education and research-driven teaching. My work has been recognized internationally, with honours such as the IADR Centennial Emerging Leaders Award and fellowships including FADM and SFHEA. I am committed to creating learning environments that prepare future dentists for excellence in patient care.

My research focuses on dental materials and restorative techniques, exploring resin-based composites, adhesives, and bioactive materials. I have published extensively in high-impact journals, edited an international textbook, and recently contributed to innovation in dental education through a provisional patent for a dental training system. These projects reflect my goal of bridging scientific discovery with practical application.

My mission is the advancement of knowledge and the education of the next generation of clinicians to deliver high-quality clinical care. I believe in inspiring curiosity, fostering critical thinking, and empowering students to become confident, compassionate professionals who will shape the future of dentistry.
