BIO

Dr Vanette McLennan (PhD, BHlthSci(RC)(Hons)) is Associate Professor of Allied Health and Academic Lead at the University Centre for Rural Health (Lismore, NSW), Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. A/Prof McLennan is an experienced HDR supervisor and researcher, with expertise in scoping and systematic reviews, in-depth qualitative interviewing, and longitudinal mixed-methods research. She is currently a lead investigator on the evaluation of allied health student placements in rural aged care homes in the Northern Rivers region. She has previously led research in vocational rehabilitation, with a focus on return to work and quality of life after spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury and she continues to supervise HDR students in these fields. She is a committed to supporting students in their clinical education and research journeys and to teaching and research that supports allied health interprofessional collaboration and rural health workforce development.
