MsTamara Voninski

Tamara contributes actively to service and leadership within the University of Sydney and the broader creative‑practice community. 

Beyond her teaching leadership, Tamara is a founding member and recent President of Oculi, a nationally recognised not‑for‑profit visual storytelling organisation. In this role, she oversees strategic direction, artist development, and public programming, and supports emerging and established photographers across Australia. Her leadership within Oculi reflects her long‑standing commitment to creative communities, collaborative practice, and the advancement of documentary and experimental photography.

Tamara also contributes to the creative industries through exhibitions, public talks, and mentorship, and has served on selection panels, award juries, and advisory groups within the arts sector. Her service is grounded in a commitment to equity, care, and creative agency, and she brings this ethos to her work with students, colleagues, and the wider arts community.
