SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARy

My dual roles as Director of Community Paediatrics at Sydney Local Health District and Professor of Community Paediatrics enable rapid translation of research into practice change through workforce development, promotion of equity and influencing culture.

As Director, I oversee and support a dynamic multidisciplinary team of 50 people who provide healthcare to children at risk of /with NDD. In 2023, under my leadership and people development, the team provided over 10 000 occasions of service to children from priority populations.

My leadership has been recognised by Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network Collaborative Leader of the Year (2018) and Humpty Dumpty Foundation Michelle Beets Memorial Award (2017) for outstanding service to NSW Health.

In September 2023, my exceptional institutional leadership was recognised through the promotion to be the first ever Professor of Community Paediatrics at the University of Sydney. I have established the Community Paediatric Research team from a team of 1 staff member in September 2023 to 10 research staff in December 2025 .
