BIO

Dr Marschner is a Senior Reserach Fellow and the Head Biostatistician at the Westmead Applied Research Centre (WARC), University of Sydney with expertise in leading statistical aspects of all phases of study design, implementation, analysis, interpretation and reporting on large-scale epidemiology and randomised clinical trial studies.She has a PhD in female specific risk factors for the prevention of women's cardiovascular disease with a focus on gestational diabetes, a Masters in Statistics and over 20 years of research experience in government, industry and academic sectors. Previously she worked as a clinical trials biostatistician at Harvard University working on AIDS research, the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney and was the founding biostatistician of the Australian clinical trials centre established at Eli Lilly. She published in high-ranking specialty journals in infectious diseases, cardiovascular disease, paediatrics and statistics with over 51 papers in the last 10 years, 11 more recently focused on women's pregnancy related cardiometabolic conditions.
