LEARNING & TEACHING SUMMARy
In 2026, Professor Bronittt is teaching in the LLB and JD programs, including Ngara – Foundations of Australian Law and Criminal Law II
Professor Bronitt designed and taught a two-week offshore intensive unit, Law and Society in India, which has run successfully in 2023, 2024, and 2025. These programs were supported by competitively secured funding awarded through the New Colombo Plan (NCP), which supported administration and student scholarships.
With a longstanding commitment to educational innovation, Professor Bronitt pioneeried the integration of technology into law courses. In 1997, in collaboration with Canadian colleagues, I developed and taught the first comparative legal history course at ANU, delivered synchronously with the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria. This interdisciplinary initiative, supported by a Canadian Studies Award Grant, anticipated the development of modern learning management systems. My contribution to teaching innovation was recognised with the ANU Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2002).
