DrShemil Macelline

Shemil Macelline is a recently graduated poultry researcher from The University of Sydney. He completed his bachelor's degree in animal science at Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka in 2015 and obtained his Master's degree in Monogastric Nutrition from Chungnam National University, South Korea, in 2019. In 2023, Shemil successfully completed his PhD under the guidance of Dr. Sonia Liu and Dr. Peter Selle at The University of Sydney. Notably, Shemil received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney in 2022 during his PhD. Currently, Shemil holds the position of Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Poultry Research Foundation within The University of Sydney.
