Sepehr received his PhD in 2020 from The University of Wollongong (Intelligent polymer research institute; IPR) with a focus on functionalized biopolymers for cancer local drug delivery. Sepehr is currently a research fellow at The University of Sydney, with his research focused on polymers for biomedical applications. Since graduation he was a Co-CI on multiple successful research grants including but not limited to NSW cardiovascular grant, ARC linkage grants, and ARC development grant. With a scientific background rooted in polymer science, he is currently working on synthesis of multifunctional copolymers suitable for an array of applications including but not limited to antibiofouling coatings for blood contacting medical devices, biosensors, and targeted nano-delivery systems. His research involves a large network of experts/collaborators (internal and external) from prestigious institutions such as Harvard Medical School, MIT, and UCLA. Sepehr is also engaged with Australian industry partners across fields of therapeutics, polymers, and medical devices, including Pharmacare Laboratories, Ecopha Ltd, and LevTech Lifesciences.
