DrSarasa Mohammadi

I am a behavioural neuroscientist and neuropharmacologist specialising in pre-clinical models of pain, comorbidities of chronic pain and analgesic drug development.

I studied Neuroscience and Psychology during my Bachelors of Science (Hons) and brought these perspectives to my PhD in Pharmacology. My research now strives to understand pain-modulated behaviour and uses this knowledge to accelerate the development of new pain-relieving drugs that improve on what is currently available.

I teach undergraduate pharmacology and pharmacy units and have a particular interest in the ethical and translational use of animals for research and education teaching.
