BIO

Dr Sarah Kobayashi is a Lecturer in Anatomy in the School of Medical Sciences (SoMS) at the University of Sydney, Faculty of Medicine and Health. She teaches cadaveric human anatomy for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medicine and Allied Health, with specialist knowledge in functional musculoskeletal anatomy. She is also a research fellow in the Osteoarthritis Clinical Research Group led by Prof David Hunter at the Kolling Institute.
Dr Kobayashi has helped attract over $670000 in project funding including an MRFF in the Effective Treatments and Therapies Stream (2022, APP2023131, $600k) and the Ramsay Research and Teaching Grant (2023, $60k) for the Walk with Ease Australia/CASCADE-OA project. She now currently leads the CASCADE-OA project (a randomised-controlled trial of Community-bAsed phySical aCtivity AnD sElf-management of OsteoArthritis), which includes a co-design approach and a randomised controlled trial. Prior to this, she worked in several professional roles in projects focusing on implementing best-evidence OA care into the community including as Project Officer with CI Eyles for an Australian Government Department of Health project, and a Research Assistant for an NHMRC-funded RCT.
