DrSam Jeralds

My research interests center around the interplay between representation theory, algebraic geometry, and algebraic combinatorics. In particular, I often think about branching problems in representation theory, with the goal to extend combinatorial results for symmetric polynomials and their generalizations to characters of Lie algebra representations. The use of geometric objects and techniques--geometric invariant theory, flag varieties, Schubert varieties--is the bridge that connects these two fields.
