BIO
Ross Hodgson is a Lecturer at the University of Sydney Law School, appointed as an Education Focused Horizon Educator. His primary fields of interest are in Commercial Law, Corporations Law, Takeovers Law and Personal Property Securities Law, with a focus on the teaching of the complex legal concepts involved in these areas both at general law and in statute.
Currently, Ross teaches in the undergraduate Units of Corporations Law and Contracts, and is the Convener of Fundamentals of Commercial Law in the postgraduate program. Previously, Ross has also taught in the undergraduate Unit of Torts and Contracts II.
Ross is a lawyer admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia and in the Supreme Court of NSW, is a solicitor member of the Law Society of NSW, and is the solicitor director of a law practice advising on commercial law and corporations law matters as well as wills and estates.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Ross was Tipstaff to the Hon Justice J S Lockhart, late of the Federal Court of Australia.
