Research projects & supervision summary
Biomaths: This projects has made inroads in understanding the so-called "maths problem" as it applies to students in science and medicine. We have used several theoretical frameworks (Threshold Concepts, Obstacles to learning, Mindfulness) to support our work exploring what sits behind statements from life science students, such as "I can't do maths".

AgroEcology in the Cambodian Higher Education. I am leading this WorldBank funded project to develop and implement the AgroEcology curriculum at the National University of Battambang.
CAMSID - COMPLETED: This project focusses on sustainable agricultural intensification and diversification for the betterment of smallholder farmers in NW Cambodia, funded by Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research.Project lead: Dan Tan. Developing apps to assist farmers has been part of my remit on the project (WeedID and PestID; both in the USYD: AppStore, GooglePlay) as has been the development of a podcast in Khmer to support farmers.
