RESEARCH INTERESTs

A/Prof Castelino continues to practise as a specialist renal pharmacist and is committed to improving medication safety for people with kidney disease, including through the provision of medication review services that promote the quality use of medicines. His wide range of research projects includes medication adherence among people with kidney disease, adverse drug reaction reporting, factors influencing peritonitis outcomes in peritoneal dialysis patients, strategies to reduce drug-induced acute kidney injury, and optimisation of antimicrobial use.
