Rob is an experienced policy and regulatory specialist and has delivered strategy and implementation advice in Australia and around the world to governments, national regulators, firms, and vendors for over 30 years.
His research focuses at the intersection of technology and regulation, especially in the platform and networked industry sectors. Nicholls has a particular interest in the role of competition law and policy in those sectors. Rob's core expertise is in networked industries, where he has deep and extensive technology, regulatory, and commercial expertise.
Nicholls enjoys teaching and course development of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and programs.
He is an accredited mediator and has acted as an expert witness in proceedings in Australia and in other jurisdictions.
