LEARNING & TEACHING SUMMARy
Richard currently supervises PhD students studying a range of crop breeding issues including improved water-use-efficiency, enhanced temperature tolerance, higher yield potential, resistance to intractable diseases and better processing and nutritional quality. He teaches an intensive under-graduate plant breeding course and co-coordinates the crop improvement component of the faculty's masters by course work degree.
