BIO
Reuben Rideaux is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology. Prior to this, he was a DECRA Fellow at the Queensland Brain Institute, a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of Cambridge and a PhD student at the Australian National University. He combines computational modelling, brain imaging, and psychophysics to study perception and cognition. He has a particular interest in developing new methods for understanding brain function and dysfunction, such as bio-inspired artificial intelligence systems, high resolution functional MR spectroscopy, and neural decoding. He has been awarded over $2.5M in competitive research funding, published over 40 scientific papers, and received national and international recognition for his research, including being awarded Australasian Cognitive Neurosciene Society Young Investigator Award in 2025 and named one of the Top 20 Under 40 Biomedical researchers in Australia 2022.
