RESEARCH INTERESTs
Rebecca is an advocate for positive images of Agriculture and has been an Art 4 Agriculture Young Farming Champion since 2013 representing the Grains industry and sponsored by the GRDC. From 2011 to 2014, Rebecca was an Executive Committee Member for the Agricultural Institute of Australia NSW Division and in 2012 was a Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Scholar. Rebecca has a keen interest in development agriculture and was lucky enough to be selected as a team member for a Rotary International Group Study Exchange to Uganda in early 2018.
Since moving to Narrabri to complete her PhD, Rebecca has been heavily involved in her local community. She has been the on the Country Education Foundation of the Namoi’s committee in various roles since 2014 and is currently Vice-Chair. Rebecca’s other volunteer community involvement includes the Narrabri Youth Shack, School science days at rural and urban primary schools, Science and Engineering Investigation Awards, Narrabri Meals on Wheels and Narrabri Riding for the Disabled.
