RESEARCH INTERESTs
- Exploring the role of death anxiety and other existential issues in mental health, through both a clinical and social psychological lens (i.e., Terror Management Theory)
- Improving the efficacy and scalability of online psychological treatments
- Evaluating the comparative efficacy of transdiagnostic treatment approaches to mental health problems
- Identifying and testing causal mechanisms underpinning anxiety-related disorders, particularly obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Exploring psychological outcomes and their predictors in the context of chronic physical illness (e.g., migraine, endometriosis)
Rachel's research aligns with the Faculty of Science Research Strengths - Understanding Disease & Disorder in Humans, Preventing and Treating Disease & Disorder, Health and Wellbeing Across the Lifespan.
