Phoebe Holdenson Kimura is a senior lecturer in the General Practice Clinical School at the Sydney Medical School. She has an interest in mental health, perinatal health, medical education, professionalism and professional identity development. She teaches into the Sydney Medical School MD program in the GP term and contributes to student wellbeing, communication and professionalism teaching. She regularly teaches and provides formal remediation for GP registrars.

 

Phoebe is a Staff Specialist at the Hornsby-Brooklyn General Practice Unit and Bungee Bidgel Aboriginal Health Clinic, providing primary and preventive medical care to individuals and families in the Northern Sydney Local Health District, and supervises prevocational trainees and GP registrars. She has an interest in integrated models of care and sits on the GP Advisory Group for the Agency for Clinical Innovation, NSW Health.

 

Phoebe works as a Medical Advisor for the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, working primarily within the Clinical Care Standards, Measurement for Improvement and the Atlas of Health Care Variation programs. 

 

She is a member of the World Organisation of Family Doctors (WONCA) and sits on the Executive of the WONCA Working Party for Mental Health.
