Dr Peter McDonald is a Lecturer in the School of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health, at The University of Sydney. His research spans environmental and exercise physiology, alongside physiology education. Peter has a particular focus on human responses to heat stress and heat acclimation. Current projects include examining the distinct physiological demands and adaptive responses to dry versus humid heat. Peter also has a strong interest in using advanced statistical modelling to understand student engagement across health and medical sciences, alongside education research exploring the use of artificial intelligence to improve assessment practices.
