RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr. Soegyono seeks to understand how different brain regions contribute to and influence learning and behaviour. Her research utilises animal models to allow for targeted manipulations of brain function using tools such as viral-based optogenetics and fibre photometry. Her current work aims to investigate the neurobiological mechanisms involved in attentional capture that result in suboptimal or counterproductive behavioural control.
