Noman Shaheer completed his PhD in International Business from Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina in 2019. His research focuses on digital internationalization, digital innovations and online entrepreneurship. His work has appeared in Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, and Harvard Business Review among others. His research has won several globally recognized awards including Lazardis award for the Journal of Business Venturing’s best paper of the year, Temple/AIB Best Paper Award, Buckley & Casson AIB Best Dissertation Award, AOM International Management Division Best Dissertation Award, and Alan M. Rugman Most Promising Scholar award, honorable mention for AIB/Sheth Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Award, AIB Best Reviewer Award, DMSB Most Promising Researcher Award, W. Pierce Liles Outstanding Doctoral Student award, and Charles Coker Graduate Fellowship award. He also serves as Guest Editor at Journal of International Business Studies and Asia Pacific Journal of Management as well as Editorial Review Board Member for Journal of Management, Journal of World Business, and Global Strategy Journal.

Noman Shaheer also assumes several leadership roles in global research community. He is founder and current chair of Digitalization Special Interest Group at Academy of International Business (AIB) as well as Chair of Academy of Management International Management Division Research Methods Committee. He also served as track chair for AIB, 2026 annual conference. 

Noman Shaheer has extensive experience of working with several Global Fortune 500 firms across Asia, particularly in South Korea, Singapore, Thai Land, China, and Pakistan. He has also conducted extensive research in Silicon Valley on digital entrepreneurship. He also enjoys writing cases and teaching courses related to global strategy, digital globalization, global innovation management, and international entrepreneurship.
