Nick is a staff specialist general paediatrician at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. He is a Professor in the Discipline of Child and Adolescent Health and Head of the Specialty of Child and Adolescent Health in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. He is an Associate Director of the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS). He is a clinician researcher and has previously held NHMRC Career Development Fellowships. His main research interests are vaccine effectiveness, maternal and neonatal immunisation, safety of vaccines and the genetics of adverse events. Professor Nick Wood is a member of Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute (Sydney ID)
