BIO

Professor Jardine’s research focuses on the progression and complications of non-communicable diseases, particularly kidney disease and diabetes. She applies innovative, cost-effective methods to generate high-quality evidence and is committed to integrating clinical care with research, promoting learning health system principles to improve healthcare delivery.

Professor Jardine currently serves on the Executive Committee of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and is a Core Committee member of the ISN Advancing Clinical Trials (ISN-ACTs) initiative (2016–2026), having also served as Chair and Immediate Past Chair (2022–2024). She chairs the Late-Breaking Clinical Trials Decisionmakers Committee (2024–2026) for the American Society of Nephrology’s Kidney Week, and sits on the Board of the Kidney Health Initiative, a collaboration between the ASN and the US Food and Drug Administration. She Co-Chairs the Executive Committee of NSW Health’s Rural, Regional & Remote Clinical Trial Enabling Program.

She is a former Executive Committee member of KDIGO (2020–2023), Board member of the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance, and Deputy Chair of the Scientific Committee for the Australasian Kidney Trials Network (AKTN).
