BIO

Meagan is a clinical academic. She is GP-trained breast physician, researcher and medical educator. Meagan is a staff specialist at Westmead Hospital in the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute and the Voluntary Assisted Dying service. Her clinical interests are caring for women at high genetic risk of breast cancer, survivorship care after breast cancer and compassionate end-of-life care. Meagan is interested in narrative medicine, patient experience, medical humanities, doctors' health and the art of medicine. Her research interests include breast cancer survivorship, breast reconstruction, doctors’ health and experiences of shame in medicine.
