During my PhD, I worked with two scientists at the Zanzibar Department of Forestry (Suleiman Mohd Salim, Haji Massoud Hamad) to write a field guide to the mangroves of Pemba Island, Tanzania. We published this book with Mkuki na Nyota, a Tanzanian publisher focused on producing books by and for east Africans. See Mangroves of Pemba here.
