Mark Westcott is a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney Business School. His research into workplace industrial relations and corporate governance has been published in a number of leading Australian and international journals. Mark is developing a research program examining the issues of financialisation and inequality, particularly examining the evolution of financial markets and institutions in Australia and their impact on employment and labour management. He has published articles and book chapter examining the effect of alternative investment funds on labour management practices in Australia. Along with Professor Greg Patmore he has recently completed writing a history of an Australian mutual health fund and together they are editing a thematic issue ofLabour Historyon the Labour Movement, Mutuals and Cooperatives which will be published in 2017.

Mark is currently Treasurer of the Association of Academic Historians in Australian and New Zealand Business School (AAHANZBS). He is Co-Director of the Business and Labour History Group (BLHG) and an Associate Editor forLabour History. Mark teaches in the areas of management and organisations, sociology of work and theories of work and organisation.
