BIO

Mark joined the Accounting discipline after twenty years of commercial experience working in a variety of financial and operational roles in professional accounting, corporate accounting and the financial markets. He brings a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching, particularly given his experience in financial markets where he worked at Citi Investment Research (formerly Salomon Smith Barney) in different senior roles in the Investment Research area over several years, and in different countries.

Mark’s main teaching interest is in management accounting, and in 2017 he received The Business School Dean's Citation for Teaching in ACCT5002.

Mark has a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Technology, Sydney. He is a Chartered Accountant, having commenced his career working as an auditor at KPMG where his major clients were The Australian Stock Exchange, and the first subscription tv company in Australia, Australis Media.
