Prof FiataroneSingh's commitment to teaching, university, and community service is evidenced by her Professorship in both Medicine and Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Sydney, as well as continuing appointments at Hebrew SeniorLife and The USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging in Boston, mentorship of students/faculty at all levels at USYD, and membership on the Executive, Honours, and Research Committees at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Sydney. She has developed, coordinates and teaches two postgraduate/undergraduate courses at the University of Sydney and mentors Honours and postgraduate students in Exercise and Sport Science, as well as lecturing in the Schools of Physiotherapy and Occupational and Leisure Sciences. She is actively involved as a Medical Advisory Board member of the international group DAFOH (Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting), Osteoporosis Australia, and serves as a Eucharistic minister at Holy Name Parish. She frequently addresses Councils on Ageing, seniors groups and Alzheimer’s Disease support groups on issues of ageing, nutrition and exercise.
