Dr. Maria Bergamasco recieved a PhD in biomedical research in 2020 from the University of Melbourne. She continued her thesis work in the laboratory of Prof Anne Voss and A/Prof Tim Thomas at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, studying the roles of histone acetyltransferase genes in brain development and intellectual disability. In 2024 she moved to the Neely lab at the Charles Perkins Institute at the University of Sydney.
