RESEARCH INTERESTs

The world faces a series of ongoing crises and raising pressures. There is a biodiversity crisis, global change, development, and increased exploitation of natural resources. My aim as a researcher is to answer pressing questions in the conservation and exploitation of organisms to promote sustainability and resilience through the application of genetic and 'omics tools.

My projects conduct research along the following lines.

  • Structural and functional genomics.
  • Hybridization dynamics.
  • Fisheries and aquaculture 'omics.
  • Fish phylogenetics and taxonomy.
