BIO
I am an experienced academic professional with a career spanning multiple roles in higher education, international journal editorial work, and student supervision. My work has taken me across different cultural and institutional landscapes, including the UK, Taiwan, and Australia, allowing me to bring a truly global perspective to healthcare education and research.
A key focus of my work lies in navigating the ethical dimensions of healthcare professionalism and addressing societal challenges, such as the ecological crisis and its implications for health. I am deeply committed to the belief that healthcare professionals must not only be skilled practitioners but also agents of change, attuned to their broader responsibilities within society.
Throughout my career, I have consistently sought opportunities for innovation and improvement, particularly in curriculum design and clinical education. I am passionate about reimagining educational experiences to better prepare students for advanced practice, ensuring that they are ready to meet the complex demands of the healthcare landscape.
Beyond my academic contributions, I have played a significant role in shaping future professionals and researchers. My work establishing a major healthcare research center and my mentorship of higher degree research (HDR) students have had lasting impacts, fostering growth and leadership within the next generation of healthcare professionals.
I am driven by a continuous desire to adapt to and address the complexities of healthcare education, blending global best practices with local needs. My approach emphasizes reflective practices and ethical awareness, ensuring that those I work with achieve academic success and also grow as thoughtful, responsible healthcare leaders.
