Luke Russell is a philosopher who specialises in the field of ethics, and who has developed influential secular accounts of evil and forgiveness. Luke has written four books published by Oxford University Press:
Evil: A Philosophical Investigation (2014)
Being Evil: A Philosophical Perspective (2020)
Evil: A Very Short Introduction (2022)
Real Forgiveness (2023)
Luke is also the co-author of the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy entry "Forgiveness", and various journal articles on evil, forgiveness, virtue, and vice. In addition to undergraduate philosophy classes, Luke has extensive experience teaching ethics and critical thinking in high schools and at the University of Sydney Business School. Luke has made numerous media appearances in relation to evil and forgiveness, and is the creator and host of the podcast series "The Philosophy of Living Well".
