RESEARCH INTERESTs

I am a social anthropologist with interest in current affairs and social theory. I am intrigued about the ways in which human sociality affects and is affected by the creation of new forms of property. In relation to these topics I co-edited "Anthropologies of Value" (Pluto, 2016) and more recently published interventions in Anthropological Theory and Dialectical Anthropology. Two other areas in which I am currently developing research are political symbolism and the comparative study of corruption, part of my general interest in politics.

In regional terms, I have ongoing research interest in Spain and in Latin American societies.
