RESEARCH INTERESTs
Having worked in the Human Services sector for many years, Lova witnessed first hand the emotional and physical toll it takes on workers. This experience inspired him to dedicate his doctoral research to understanding burnout-transforming real-world challenges into meaningful academic inquiry. In 2018, he also published a book in Malagasy titled Loholona Mpiandry (Leaders as Shepherds), offering ethical leadership guidance to human services and community leaders in Madagascar.
Since transitioning into academia, Lova has developed two additional research interests. The first explores the challenges international students face in adapting to academic environments that emphasise independent inquiry and research-based learning. The second focuses on academic integrity, with particular attention to contract cheating, the use of AI, and their implications for education quality.
