LEARNING & TEACHING SUMMARy
Dr Sinclair has lectured in and developed units in politics, development studies, gender studies and democratisation at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her teaching philosophy is influenced by feminist, queer and transformative pedagogy. This means that ideal educational experience begins from the lived experience of the students, challanges unexamined beliefs and promotes critical thinking. Assessments, learning activities and student projects should be 'authentic' to real world conditions and prepare students to be life-long curious and critical thinkers.
At the University of Sydney, Lian coordinates GEOG3888, Integrated Geographic Practice, a third year project based unit where student address globally significant challanges and communicate across disciplinary boundaries.
