LEARNING & TEACHING SUMMARy

I love teaching, and I hope my students enjoy learning from me.
I greatly value in-person presence; for me, lectures are like live performances-they are meant to be a shared, living experience. This is also why I don't usually share notes before the lecture: the heart of the course happens in the room, together. My notes are a transcript of what has happened in class, and this varies depending on the students. I love teaching with chalk on a blackboard and incorporating experimental demonstrations into my lectures.

I am currently teaching:

  • PHYS1001 (regular): thermodynamics section
  • PHYS3035 (regular): electrodynamics section
  • PhysicsConnect: a course where every week I invite people from academia and industry to show students where a physics degree can take you.
