RESEARCH INTERESTs

Laura’s research sits at the intersection of implementation science, health-professional education and diagnostic radiography. Her work examines how research evidence is translated into routine clinical practice and how organisational culture, professional identity, education and workforce conditions influence clinicians’ ability to implement evidence-based change. Her current research applies implementation science frameworks to understand the barriers and enablers experienced by radiographers introducing changes in practice. She also investigates the attraction, development and retention of the medical radiation workforce. Her broader interests include research literacy, clinical education, authentic assessment, ethics education, culturally safe learning environments and supporting students experiencing difficulty during clinical placements.
