DrKaren Cummings

Karen Cummings is a researcher, theatre maker and performer who is interested in music theatre forms that represent the voices of marginalised communites that are often missing from the music theatre space. Contemporary form of music theatre including gig theatre, amplified story telling, site specific works, and works responding to place and memory are among the kinds of works Karen both develops and writes about. Karen is a Wiradgeri woman who researches and is involved in music theatre works that are First Nations led and tell the stories of First Nations Australians.
